Privacy Policy

What we collect

Report inputs. Locations, dates, and species you type are processed to build your report and cached briefly to serve the page. We don't require an account for free reports; we count requests per IP address to enforce daily free limits.

Purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. We receive your name, email, shipping address (for physical goods), and order details to fulfill your order.

Uploads. Photos and GPS files you send for dossiers/prints are used only to produce your order and are deleted on request.

Third parties we use

Cloudflare (hosting/CDN and report storage) · Anthropic (report generation — report inputs are sent to the Anthropic API) · Government/open-data services (including NOAA, NWS, USGS, MET Norway, and Open-Meteo) receive the location or coordinates needed for a report. When paid checkout and physical fulfillment are activated, Stripe and selected print partners may receive the payment, contact, shipping, or order details required to provide those services.

Outfitters links and click measurement

When you click a product or retailer link, we may record an anonymous aggregate event containing the product, merchant, page or report type, and date. We do not store your IP address, name, email, or browsing history in the Outfitters click counter. The retailer or affiliate network you visit applies its own privacy and cookie policies.

Advertising & cookies

The site does not currently use personalized advertising cookies. If advertising is activated later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before personalized ad technology is enabled.

Affiliate and retail partners

Some outbound purchase links may be affiliate links. Retailers and affiliate networks may use their own cookies or tracking parameters to attribute a purchase. See our Purchase & Affiliate Disclosure for how recommendations are selected and disclosed.

Your rights

Email privacy@rodfatherexpeditions.com to access or delete your data. We honor applicable US state privacy rights (including Ohio and California residents' rights) and GDPR requests from EU visitors.

Retention

Free reports expire automatically within 30 days. Order records are kept as required for tax and accounting.
